Effect:
A deck of cards is shuffled and placed face down on the table. The spectator is then asked to cut a pile of cards from the top of the deck and place them face up on the rest of the face down cards. Once again, the spectator is asked to cut the deck, but this time further down into the deck and to place this pile of cards face up on the rest of the face down deck (the deck is now approximately half face up cards and half face down cards).
The mentalist makes a prediction on a piece of paper and crumples it into a ball, which he then places in a glass. He instructs the spectator to count down through the face up cards until he reaches the first face down card and then to stop.
The mentalist makes another prediction on a sheet of paper, which is once again crumpled into a ball and placed into the glass. He then instructs the spectator to turn over the face down card.
The crumpled predictions are taken from the glass by the spectator and read aloud...not only has the mentalist predicted the correct card, he has also predicted exactly how many cards down into the deck that it would be found.
